Leicester-based, Britannia Buffet Services has taken delivery of six new Isuzu N35.125 Grafters, each mounted with a specialist Jiffy Banquet body from Jiffy Trucks, replacing identical vehicles coming to the end of service within its nine-strong mixed commercial fleet.
Offering a wide range of catering services, the company currently operates seven Isuzu Grafters, each working daily lunch service routes. The build includes an oven, ambient storage, and a refrigerated compartment that allows Britannia Buffet Services to offer a wide range of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks.
Dave Prentice, Director of Britannia Buffet Services, says: “The body build is perfectly suited to our business, but it’s the reliability of the vehicle underneath that keeps us coming back. We have looked at other options, but Isuzu are just built better; it isn’t much of a competition.
“The level of aftersales support from our local dealer, Paynes of Hinkley, and the Isuzu Customer CARE team is also outstanding. For any servicing or maintenance, the team at Paynes will take the vehicles at the end of the day and have them ready for us the next morning, and though we’ve never had any issues, I still regularly get the nicest call from the Customer CARE team to check in – you don’t get that type of service anywhere else.”
Delivering to customers across Leicestershire, the new Grafters will be on the road five days per week, averaging 13,000 miles annually, with Britannia Buffet Services expecting to keep them in the fleet for three years.
Each new chassis comes with the manufacturer’s three-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes 24/7 roadside assistance. In addition the Isuzu Truck UK’s Customer CARE programme, where a dedicated Customer Liaison Executive is assigned to focus on delivering the optimum service and experience, is activated as soon as the vehicles are registered and on the road.
