New procurement appointment to support Asset Alliance Group’s ambition to have the youngest fleet in the market

Commercial vehicle specialist Asset Alliance Group has appointed Allan Bennett in a new role as Procurement Manager, with a remit to oversee volume orders with truck and trailer manufacturers.

Bennett brings more than 30 years’ experience to the role and knows Asset Alliance Group better than most having spent six years with the company from 2012 when he set-up and ran the Newmains depot.

He says: “I took great pride in building the Scotland depot from the ground up in my previous role as Regional Manager so when this new position opened up, it was an opportunity I didn’t want to miss.

“As Procurement Manager, I will be working on growing our strong relationships with truck and trailer manufacturers, ensuring we are in the best possible position to source new assets for our customers.”

He adds: “It’s great to be working for Asset Alliance Group again, reconnecting with former colleagues and being part of such an ambitious business.”

Bennett began his career in 1984 at ERF Trucks and later worked for MAN Truck and Bus UK and Renault Trucks UK before running Allan Bennett Consultancy successfully for six years.

He will be based at Asset Alliance Group’s headquarters in Wolverhampton.

Asset Alliance Group has carved a significant niche in the UK’s commercial vehicle sector, supplying trucks, trailers, buses and coaches alongside providing financial expertise for commercial vehicles and general asset finance.
