NEW SCHMITZ CARGOBULL REEFERS BRING THE LATEST DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY TO DALE BROTHERS UK

Temperature-controlled logistics experts Dale Brothers UK can give its customers complete cold chain confidence after buying six new reefers from Schmitz Cargobull, equipped with the manufacturer’s tailor-made trailer telematics system.

The new arrivals use a single, unified system to monitor each refrigeration unit and trailer, giving greater transparency and control when transporting chilled and frozen payloads.

The two multi-temp and four mono-temp trailers replace older assets in the Telford-based operator’s 100-strong fleet, nearly half of which are from Schmitz Cargobull, and will carry meat to supermarket chains in the UK and Germany.

Neyland Dale, Director at Dale Brothers UK, says: “Schmitz Cargobull’s refrigeration and telematics package gives us complete control and our customers confidence, and there’s nothing else like it on the market. The system means we can monitor the condition of the trailer’s components at the click of a button, and make sure we are one step ahead of any repair work, which is vital as we cannot afford to have them off the road for a long time.

“We’ve been buying Schmitz Cargobull trailers for many years because they are extremely robust and reliable. That’s why we keep coming back; we get exactly what we need, every time.”

Each reefer is fitted with Schmitz Cargobull’s TrailerConnect temperature and telematics package, which monitors and records data in real time. It also bolsters security by tracking the trailer’s exact location and the system sends the operator a text message or email if it has been tampered with.

And as each one will cover thousands of miles across Europe, Dale Brothers UK has taken out a two-year full-service maintenance contract on the refrigeration unit that includes all maintenance costs, with repair work to be carried out by approved Schmitz Cargobull service partners across the UK and Europe.

Dale Brothers UK is a third-generation family company established in the 1930s, and was originally involved in the distribution of livestock and agricultural supplies.
