Specialist truck provider MV Commercial has supplied Euroroute Recovery with a new MAN TGL 12.220 double deck transporter, delivering the vehicle in just twelve working days.
The Dumfries-based company needed the recovery truck as part of its ongoing vehicle upgrade programme in response to new contract wins. MV Commercial was able to react quickly with the right spec vehicle in stock and ready to go after being liveried.
Peter Stewart, Director at Euroroute Recovery, says: “We need high spec vehicles, which usually take time to acquire. Lead times for new trucks can be anything up to eight months, but MV Commercial was able to supply us with the latest transporter that was perfectly matched to our operation in a matter of days.”
The vehicle supplied by MV Commercial is equipped with a 5,000kg capacity steel slidebed, 2,000kg capacity lie flat, hydraulic top deck and 1,500kg second car lift. This enables Euroroute to move three cars at once, helping it to increase efficiency and reduce transport costs.
The 12-tonne tilt and slide, day cab transporter includes rear air suspension, an automatic gearbox, a Euro 6 engine and three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Additionally, the truck features LED lights, Lodar remote controls for the winch, body slide and tilt operations, 12v and 24v jump sockets and a side-winching capstan.
Euroroute will use this latest acquisition to work on both the recovery and vehicle dismantling and disposal sides of its business. It will work out of a new site in the Scottish Borders and Euroroute is already looking to add to its fleet further with MV Commercial in the coming months.
Established in 2010, Euroroute Recovery offers 24/7 roadside and recovery for motorcycles, cars and light and heavy commercial vehicles. With bases in Dumfries, Boswell, Johnstonebridge and Stranraer, it covers the south and west of Scotland, Ayrshire, the Borders and Cumbria.
