Logistics provider racks up deal with Asset Alliance Group to spur business growth

AMCO has turned to Asset Alliance Group to finance a significant order of pallet racking to aid expansion of its warehousing operations.

The Worcestershire logistics provider completed the deal for the Link 51 adjustable pallet racking with Asset Alliance Group’s General Asset Finance division to optimise capacity at its new 140,000 sq ft warehouse in Coventry.

Mark Jones, AMCO’s Operations Director, says: “After filling more than half a million square foot of warehousing across our business, we needed the racking for our new facility.

“As we already have strong ties with Asset Alliance Group, we approached their General Asset Finance division to help fund the racking. The new racking takes about 6,000 pallets off the floor, ensuring we maximise the cubic space of the warehouse and allows us to grow further.”

Commenting on Asset Alliance Group, Jones adds: “We have developed an excellent partnership with their team, who provide a good and efficient service. They are very flexible and offered a competitive package to assist us through AMCO’s latest growth phase.”

Matthew Board, Head of Asset Alliance Group’s General Asset Finance division, says: “Our agreement with AMCO highlights how we are supporting our existing customers by helping them fund other assets for their business such as warehouse, manufacturing, construction and garage equipment.”

The order builds on Asset Alliance Group’s growing relationship with AMCO, after the commercial vehicle specialist financed eight used Montracon trailers for the business earlier this year.

AMCO already runs 15 Montracon trailers from Asset Alliance Group, which are funded on an operating lease. Last year, it invested in 16 new DAF XF 530 44-tonne tractor units. Supplied by Asset Alliance Group on a five-year contract hire deal, the trucks joined as part of the company’s fleet upgrade and expansion programme.

In total, AMCO currently operates more than 50 trucks, with half of the tractor units and rigids supplied by Asset Alliance Group.

Since 1983, AMCO has provided reliable and dedicated global logistics and warehouse services across a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors. It now operates from three Midlands locations.
